Taiyo Lucid Pvt. Ltd. (TLPL) is a Joint Venture between Taiyo Kagaku Co. Ltd. Japan, Lucid Colloids Ltd., India and CBC Co. Ltd., Japan. A state-of-the art plant was built and went into production in 2004 at the companies manufacturing site at Waluj, Aurangabad in the State of Maharashtra in India to manufacture water-soluble dietary fiber and other nutritional ingredients. The plant manufactures Sunfiber^®, a water-soluble dietary fiber which has a market in several countries worldwide.

The plant is located on a 82,000 mtr² site and is composed of the main building and utilities section. Utilities include an onsite effluent treatment plant. All utilities are housed in separate utility buildings or in technical service areas of the main building, which are segregated from production, and packaging areas.

The main building houses the manufacturing plant, warehouses, laboratories, canteen and offices and is a self contained building. All areas are climatically controlled for temperature, humidity and pressure.

The state-of-the-art plant has been built to GMP standards and is ISO 9000 and HACCP certified. The plant is also certified as “Superior” by AIB. Kosher and Halal certification is available..

All Quality Assurance testing is done in-house at a fully equipped laboratory including microbial and elemental analysis. Quality control includes raw material testing, in process testing as well as final products.
